The fifth Brighton Photo Biennial starts today and runs until the 4th of November. The theme of this year’s event is ‘Agents of Change: Photography and the Politics of Space’.
“How is space constructed, controlled and contested? How is photography implicated in these processes and what are the tensions and possibilities involved in this dialogue?”
The Biennial is presented and curated by Photoworks, and features free exhibitions, new commissions, events and interventions, at a host of established and more unusual venues, bringing international and emerging photographers to the city.
